
GAME RULES​

CPR is performed in simulation and according to the current guidelines 'Basal resuscitation of adults' by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC). ​​

A maximum of 36 couples can participate. The order of appearance will be determined by drawing lots.

A couple consists of two participants who must be registered by 11/10/2023 through the dedicated registration platform

Registration is only possible as a couple consisting of two participants.

The registration is free of charge.

Prior to the participation, the couple may not attend the BLS competition or inform themselves in any otherwise be aware of matters concerning the BLS competition (under penalty of exclusion).

The caseload shall be similar for all participating couples.

Participating couples will be given two pocket masks prior to the competition to be used during the scenario to be used.

On the day of the competition, the pair needs to be ready 10 min previous the passage time.

The assessment of the couples will take place in accordance with the BLS Assessment Scale.

Points are given for quality of skills and correct application of the BLS guidelines.

Video recordings can be made during the execution of a scenario. BeHRA retains the right to use these recordings for promotion, research, internal audits and/or learning objectives. By entering the competition you give permission for recordings to be made and to use it for these purposes.

Appeals against jury decisions are not possible.
CONTEST CONCEPT

The Belgian Heart Rhythm Association, together with the Ligue Francophone Belge de Sauvetage (LFBS) work together to help raise awareness of cardiac arrest and teach CPR.
​
Within the framework of the World Restart a Heart Day, and concurring with the Belgian Heart Rhythm Meeting, we are organising a BLS Contest on Friday 13th of October at the Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel. Both the staff of the Airport and of the venue are welcomed to take part of this contest on Friday 13th of October.

French and dutch speaking trainers will create an scenario for participants, analysing their Basic Life Support gestures and providing with feedback according to the latest BLS guidelines.
